Far-left Hollywood Partly Responsible for Crisis in Venezuela

The people of Venezuela are currently suffering through what can only be described as a full blown humanitarian crisis, and some big name celebrities are partly to blame for the nightmarish conditions that are plaguing the South American country.

Venezuela’s problems began when far-left wing dictator Hugo Chavez grabbed hold of the reins of power in 1999, after having failed in a coup attempt to take control six years earlier.

Chavez told the same malevolent tale that socialists always use to manipulate the populace: Each and every person will have an equal share in the prosperity that is sure to come.

Mainstream Media Slam Jimmy Fallon for Being `Too Soft on Trump`

When Jimmy Fallon returned to host “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend, America learned what the mainstream media use as criteria to evaluate today’s entertainment.

Apparently, the quality of writing, depth of material, delivery of lines, etc., are not as important to mainstream media outlets as whether the entertainment content in question sufficiently attacks President Donald Trump.

The same media pundits that praise Stephen Colbert and “SNL” for non-stop anti-Trump programming have found Fallon wanting for his apparent failure to hit Trump hard enough.

Hollywood Liberals React to Missile Strike on Syria

In response to the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria, which injured numerous men, women, and children and took the lives of scores of civilians, the Trump administration authorized a military strike in the region.

U.S. ships in the Mediterranean launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles, which struck the Al Shayrat airfield in Syria, the same airfield from which the chemical weapons were unleashed.

In the aftermath of the administration’s military action, Hollywood elites have taken to social and conventional media to let their opinions be known.

Attacks on Nunes Unwarranted

A sizable portion of the Democratic Party has been busily investing significant media capital to promote the false narrative that Russian interference in the presidential election is to blame for Hillary Clinton’s stunning loss.

Evidently, members of this same intractable liberal faction have now turned their attention toward their next target in what appears to be an endless roster of individuals that the Democrats can go about systematically disparaging, discrediting, and sometimes seeking to destroy, in a political sense.

GOP Congressman Devin Nunes looks to be the next one up. The House Intelligence Committee Chairman recently endured an assault carried out by means of partisan political hyperbole.

Beyond McCarthyism

Recent actions and rhetoric of Democratic Party operatives and mainstream media figures are evoking the same undesirable label.

From newspaper opinion pieces to social media posts, the ghost of Senator Joseph McCarthy roams the D.C. corridors and McCarthyism permeates the Democrat playbook, punctuated with the leadership’s incessant murmurings of “the Russians hacked the election.”

As fallout of his investigation in the 1950s into Russian connections in the United States, McCarthy was accused of conducting a “witch hunt” and was also indelibly linked to the Hollywood blacklist era.

Oscars Reveal Hollywood`s Vices

Hollywood used to be a place where larger-than-life celebrities possessed the intangible quality of “star power.”

However, things have changed over the course of time and have done so in a manner that appears to be as dramatic as the cinematic art itself so frequently manifests.

The entertainment industry has been thoroughly transformed by a tidal wave of new technologies. And the ever-present insecurity, of which executives who run the largest studios often speak, has caused a torrent of franchise films, sequels, and reboots to be overrepresented on the marquees of movie theaters across the country.

Leak Investigations May Lead to Unexpected Places

A mere days before then-president-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, former President Barack Obama expanded the ability of intelligence agencies to share unfiltered telephone surveillance information.

The Obama administration issued Executive Order 12333, which allows the National Security Agency (NSA) to share raw intercepted communications with agencies that include the FBI, DEA, and Department of Homeland Security, among others.

Numerous press reports at the time indicated that the Obama Justice Department and the FBI sought Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Trump campaign insiders and then-presidential candidate Trump himself during the final months of the presidential campaign.

Grammys Strike a Sour Note

This awards season has had many of the viewing public appalled as they watched entertainment film and television luminaries shift from self-congratulatory mode to political preaching overdrive.

Prior to the 59th Grammys, industry insiders had already telegraphed that Sunday night’s show would feature music stars who were free to let loose and air their political grievances.

And so they did. Oftentimes comments were delivered with not-so-clever implications and other times with pure vitriol.

The Tarnishing of the Hollywood Brand

Hollywood is its own brand. And although the name itself used to be synonymous with inspiration, innovation, talent, quality, and creativity in all things entertainment, the brand of one of the country’s most unique industries appears to be on a distinctly downward trajectory.

Multiple factors are responsible for the degradation of an impeccably crafted decades-long image, and these factors may even lead to its ultimate demise. But of all of the things that have had a minor or major impact, nothing has been more deleterious to the brand than the angry appearance and hateful words of Hollywood’s celebrities, who like it or not are the “face” of Hollywood’s products.

Zuckerberg`s Latest Venture into Politics

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently took a trip to the Political Land of Oz.

In a highly partisan Facebook post, he sharply criticized the executive orders that President Donald Trump recently signed, which relate to our nation’s immigration policy.

The social media magnate appeared to ditch logic and accuracy in his post and instead favored the use of tired Democratic talking points to make the liberal case.

Going after the president directly, Zuckerberg posted, “Like many of you, I’m concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump.”
