Grammys Strike a Sour Note

This awards season has had many of the viewing public appalled as they watched entertainment film and television luminaries shift from self-congratulatory mode to political preaching overdrive.

Prior to the 59th Grammys, industry insiders had already telegraphed that Sunday night’s show would feature music stars who were free to let loose and air their political grievances.

And so they did. Oftentimes comments were delivered with not-so-clever implications and other times with pure vitriol.

The Tarnishing of the Hollywood Brand

Hollywood is its own brand. And although the name itself used to be synonymous with inspiration, innovation, talent, quality, and creativity in all things entertainment, the brand of one of the country’s most unique industries appears to be on a distinctly downward trajectory.

Multiple factors are responsible for the degradation of an impeccably crafted decades-long image, and these factors may even lead to its ultimate demise. But of all of the things that have had a minor or major impact, nothing has been more deleterious to the brand than the angry appearance and hateful words of Hollywood’s celebrities, who like it or not are the “face” of Hollywood’s products.

Zuckerberg`s Latest Venture into Politics

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently took a trip to the Political Land of Oz.

In a highly partisan Facebook post, he sharply criticized the executive orders that President Donald Trump recently signed, which relate to our nation’s immigration policy.

The social media magnate appeared to ditch logic and accuracy in his post and instead favored the use of tired Democratic talking points to make the liberal case.

Going after the president directly, Zuckerberg posted, “Like many of you, I’m concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump.”

Late-night Comedy Targets President Donald Trump

Some of Hollywood’s most notorious liberal activists appear to be hell-bent on continuing their quest to spread the hate, most notably against the nation’s new president, Donald J. Trump.

Still reeling from Trump’s victory over rival Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, some left-leaning celebrities are wildly engaging in social media diatribes and/or racing to grab the mike at public protest events.

During the primary and general election season, a number of entertainment industry lefties were dead set on the destruction of the Trump campaign, and there were countless attempts to flood the airwaves with Trump-mocking material.

The New McCarthyism

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly recently used the term “reverse McCarthyism” to describe how the atmosphere in Hollywood is affecting celebrities who had or were presently considering performing at President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

“The harsh truth is that there is reverse McCarthyism going on in the entertainment industry,” O’Reilly said, alluding to the McCarthy era of the 20th Century.

“If you are a Trump supporter, you are a bad person, and a number of entertainers believe their careers will be harmed, should they associate with the new Trump administration,” O’Reilly said.

The Rewriting of Obama`s Legacy

In an apparent effort to emulate President-elect Donald Trump’s social media mastery, President Obama began the New Year by giving his Twitter followers a revisionist history lesson.

The “Me Too” outgoing president posted a series of tweets that were supposed to tout his two-term accomplishments.

“As we look ahead to the future, I wanted to take a moment to look back on the remarkable progress that you made possible these past 8 years,” Obama tweeted.

The president shared information from his brag book about his supposed job creation, health care triumphs, and super hero environmental status.

Celebrity Boycott of Trump Inauguration Backfires

According to numerous reports, certain members of the Hollywood elite, particularly those who seem to routinely display an inflated sense of self-importance, are refusing to take part in President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration festivities.

Those who have agreed to perform at the historical event are being attacked by the alt-left through conventional media means as well as through an array of social media sites.

The apparent hope of the famed partisans is that through the application of extreme societal pressure individual entertainers or performance groups will dutifully comply and withdraw from any association with or appearance at the national event.

Al Gore`s Documentary Sequel Set to Debut at Sundance

Imagine a 2018 Oscar telecast in which Hollywood, still in denial over a Donald Trump presidency, creates a “safe space” within the winsome walls of the Dolby Theater.

Imagine further a show in which producers of the Academy Awards put together a segment on Tinseltown’s trendiest topic—climate change.

In a finale fit for a genuine celebrity fabrication, the Best Documentary Oscar trophy is placed in the hands of none other than weather doom and gloom guru Al Gore by the smug slow-clapping friend and ally Leo DiCaprio.

It could happen.

Trump`s Hollywood Pick for Treasury Secretary

A high-profile member of the Hollywood community has been named to a pivotal position in the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump.

It was recently announced that Trump has chosen movie production finance expert Steve Mnuchin to be his treasury secretary.

Prior to coming to Tinseltown, Mnuchin had a 17-year stint at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and eventually became chief information officer for the firm.

While in Hollywood, he earned additional credentials as a significant behind-the-scenes player in the movie business and an industry leader who headed up business entities that completed numerous financing deals with big-name studios 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros.

Hollywood Helps Fuel Election Mischief

Some big-name Hollywood celebrities along with political pouters of all persuasions recently joined forces with 2016’s Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in hopes of pulling off an election redo.

Although President-elect Donald Trump won a decisive victory in the 2016 presidential election, many of Hillary’s supporters and those in her Hollywood fan base are stubbornly refusing to accept the election results.

However, prior to the election Trump was actually derided by his opponent as well as those on the left who thought he might be the one to contest the election results or fail to come to terms with what was believed by the mainstream media and a majority of the Democrats to be an inevitable Hillary win.
