Mark Zuckerberg May Be the New Ross Perot

For those who have been following politics with a curious eye, it sure looks as though Mark Zuckerberg is making a run for the presidency.

The Facebook founder has traveled to far flung areas of the country, including some of the more crucial swing states. He has managed to visit 43 states in the last year and a half, and although Zuck (as he is called by his friends) denies that he is seeking public office, the activities in which he is engaging appear to be those of someone who has his sights set on the Oval Office.

New Media Power Shift

A slow steady reallocation of power has been taking place in the media business, and it is one that is going to ultimately alter the way news is consumed by a ravenous public.

Hollywood has already felt the winds of change blowing from the Northern part of the Golden State. Tech companies such as Netflix and Amazon have been bidding up content and winning prestigious awards.  And in an additional media twist, paid Internet entertainment sites have been encroaching on territory previously held by broadcast and cable TV.

Zuckerberg`s Latest Venture into Politics

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently took a trip to the Political Land of Oz.

In a highly partisan Facebook post, he sharply criticized the executive orders that President Donald Trump recently signed, which relate to our nation’s immigration policy.

The social media magnate appeared to ditch logic and accuracy in his post and instead favored the use of tired Democratic talking points to make the liberal case.

Going after the president directly, Zuckerberg posted, “Like many of you, I’m concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump.”

Facebook Fights Fake News with Fake Fact-checkers

The left’s attempt to deny the presidential election outcome has turned into a never-ending array of excuses.

A case in point is the recent hand-wringing by Hillary Clinton over fake news where she referred to it as an “epidemic” and a “threat” that should “concern all Americans.”

Ironically, the fake news narrative to which Clinton referred is itself a phony one. Evidence is completely lacking when it comes to the notion of voters having been duped into casting non-Hillary votes based on news reports or social media posts.

Mainstream Media Using ‘Fake News’ to Censor Conservative Views

After telling the public for over a year that the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States was not going to materialize, the mainstream media have now turned their collective attention toward something they have characterized as “fake news.”

The phrase, however, is a fake itself, and its deliberate use manipulative in nature. The mainstream media are out to cleanse social media of sites that pose obstacles to a uniform way of thinking; that being a left-leaning ideology.

Zuckerberg Meeting Damages Facebook Brand

Mark Zuckerberg just made a bad problem worse.

The Facebook founder recently held a public relations-oriented meeting with some of the nation’s leading conservative figures to address the bias that was revealed in the social media site’s Trending Topics section.

The meeting with the reported seventeen conservative notables was said to have lasted approximately one hour.

Despite the participants having been bound by confidentiality agreements and the gathering having been off-limits to the press, a surprising amount of information concerning the meeting has leaked out.
